Description

We are a small family owned and run cottage rental business. We love these homes, use these homes and enjoy sharing with kind travelers. Over the years we have rented cottages and rented to many many guests. We work hard to give personal attention to guests. And we have worked to make the cottages welcoming and easy to use for all. We make a point of making your stay hospitable. No matter if you are ice fishermen in February or a Family in Aug. we want to make it GREAT!

Neighborhood

Rural and lovely these cottages area tucked into a quiet little cove on Lake Ontario. Peaceful and rural we are blessed to be surrounded by parkland of Beachwood State Park. The main industry is fruit farming and farm markets dot the country roads. Beautiful and natural surroundings yet a short drive to Sodus Point NY a small port resort township. Easy to enjoy Sodus Points Sandy public beach, lighthouse museum, marinas for boat rental/or rides, and restaurants on the water.

Only 3 miles from Sodus Point recreation center but what is different about this property...Incredibly Natural, Beautiful and Peaceful setting. Giant Pines border the enormous property. Along with an empty field on one side. Located directly on the a small cove on lake Ontario. Lots of space. Lovely hikes into Maxwell Bay/Creek Area and Beachwood State Park.

Bald & Golden Eagles and Herons fly over cove and nest in state park and point. Take a short hike to Beaver Dam. Great for Kayaks and Canoes along edge and into Maxwell creek area.

Tons of space, Cottage has huge yard. Directly on,easily accessible beachfront. Cove and Maxwell Bay/creek make small craft boating as well as swimming lovely.

Located on Lake Ontario ½ mile from nearest paved road. Over 100 feet of beachfront in your front yard. State park lands in your back yard. Wild, natural, secluded and peaceful.

Sit on one of two decks under huge maple, hemlock, and aspen trees and gaze out at Lake Ontario. Swim, boat and fish from hundreds of feet of secluded beachfront. Or hike in the 'back yard'; hundreds of acres of woods and orchards wild state lands featuring nesting bald eagles and Beaver pond.

Launch or rent a power boat at Sodus Bay recreation area (2 mi) or drive to Rochester or the beautiful Finger Lakes (@30 mi).Fishermen will delight in Salmon, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout, Brown, Trophy Lake. Lake Ontario and Sodus Bay are known for prize winning Bass, Walleye and Perch. Birders will love the Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, swans and hummingbirds.

Transit

A car is necessary to visit this rural location. There are two or three gravel parking spots provided. And plenty of flat grass right next to the gravel to fit more cars. Boat trailers etc. we have unusually large lots and space for a cottage lakefront property.

Notes

The Sprongs Bluff area, a small cove set into Lake Ontario, is remote and beautiful. We love that we have a huge lot, beautiful sunsets and LOTS of space. The little set of cottages here are completely surrounded by NYS forever wild parkland.

The Ferry family has wonder the cottage for nearly 40 years. A large and loving extended family and this was Grandmas and Grandpas cottage until 2010 when they passed away leaving it to my Brothers and sister and I. Eventually buying 2 in the area we are owners and already were sharing with one another and now YOU!

House Rules

Occupancy beyond guest booked incur extra charge

We cannot accommodate parties due to insurance, parking, and a variety of needs that parties require.

Use of bunk bed is NOT suitable for all guests and we take no responsibility for use

Surveillance Cameras on the outside

Dogs pay $50 (max 2 dogs), please pickup after in yard, Crate when not with you inside the house. Sheet available for sleeping on beds.

NO Smoking of any kind inside or on the doorway. Outside only!

84 ft of direct waterfront is available for use. Additional waterfront access at Sodus point sandy beach, state park, and other locations - Rentals shorter than a week are requested to help us replace lifejackets, paddles/oars with a small donation. Please leave $20 - $30 if using the boats

Swimming and boating these activities are at your own risk

Max of 5-6 adults can occupy the hot tub at the same time.

Hot Tub House Usage limit is 2 hours each 24hour period. 1 hour max per use and your Two hours must not be consecutively.

Recycling required, therefore, separate bins available for recycle and garbage. Instructions are within the guidebook.

Forgotten items are kept for one week may be returned at the guest's expense.

Cancellation Policy

If the booking is cancelled before 15:30, 30 day(s) before check-in it is free of charge, less than 45 day(s) before check-in the charge is 50% of total
